Sounds of the Sacred - The Tibetan Singing Bowl



The solid, brass singing bowl used in this recording was hand
made in Tibet. Gently striking and stroking the bowl with its wooden
mallet produces wonderful tones of many qualities - sometimes soft
and gentle, sometimes strident and demanding.

All serve to provide a perfect backdrop for meditation and contemplation. There is no tune, just a series of resonant sounds that help towards a peaceful visualisation and inner stillness. Played by Steve Wright, the recording is 45 minutes long.
